  • Best integrated graphics performance we've seen from any socketed CPU to date
  • Compatible with most existing Z97 motherboards (after a BIOS update)
  • Moderate 65watt TDP
  • Tops the Core i74790K in some traditionally CPUcentric tests

Reviewers Didn't Like

  • CPU performance doesn't break new ground overall
  • AMD APUs offer integrated graphics that are good enough for gaming, while costing hundreds less

In the end, most consumers will be better off holding back for a few more months till Skylake arrives along with the new 100-series chipsets and DDR4 memory support.

Last month, we got our first peek at Intel's new ‘Braswell' system-on-chip solutions in the form of the Pentium N3700 and Celeron N3050B. These new SoCs used the 14nm process and featured Intel's new Airmont CPU cores. When compared to the company's...

Intel Core i7-5775C Processor - Find It At AmazonThe Core i7-5775C is in a strange position. Because it has lower base and turbo clocks than some other Intel processors, it can't quite match their performance in CPU-centric workloads. In situation where...

Intel’s highest-end "Broadwell" desktop CPU delivers the best integrated graphics we’ve seen from a socketed processor, as well as very good raw compute performance.

You shouldn't think of the 5775C as an overclocking CPU with high-end integrated graphics, but rather as an efficient and fast desktop CPU that happens to allow tweaking and carries a powerful integrated graphics processor.

Even if the Core i5-5675C and Core i7-5775C aren’t particularly practical right now, we still have to commend Intel for listening. Two years ago, we asked for a socketed CPU sporting the company’s grand effort to showcase integrated graphics, preferably in an enthusiast-friendly configuration. These processors come close to what we envisioned. They’re just victims of unfortunate timing.

The Core i7-5775C holds up well enough in today's most CPU-intensive games with today's most powerful graphics card, but it's hardly the miracle worker its reputation might suggest. This chip's eDRAM may have allowed it to endure the passage of time...

So I think most people will admit that AMD has had a lot of wins this year with all of the Ryzen launches. As I found out in our 1700v7700K coverage the 7700K was still a great performing CPU, especially when looking at gaming performance. But with...
