Notwithstanding, the GTX 960 is a great GPU, the card's low power consumption means it generates very little heat and allows for graphics cards such as Gainward's to run almost silently when gaming.

What is the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960? The second generation of Nvidia's Maxwell hardware arrived with the high-end GTX 980 and GTX 970 cards back in September, but it's taken until now for mainstream parts to arrive. That's where the GTX 960 comes in; it's...

Overall the product is getting our recommended award, obviously I would have liked to see a bit more memory in this price class anno 2015, but perhaps that is wishful thinking. Other than that, we can recommend the for a decent 1080P gaming card at very low noise levels with terrific looks.

Personally I don't think upgrading from a GTX 760 is worth the cost, upgrading from a GTX 660 Ti probably neither. If you have a GTX 660 and some money to spend or are looking for a card to drive your new PC, GTX 960 is definitely an excellent choice. Value oriented buyers should also consider used GTX 680/770/780 class cards which should hit the market soon.

The GTX 960 is a decent 1080p, mid-range GPU, and this SuperSuperClocked EVGA version is one of the fastest of its ilk.

The EVGA GTX 960 SuperSC is probably one of the quickest GTX 960s you'll find.

Nvidia's review guide was careful focus on 1080p gaming, and it's easy to see why. At full HD the card performs well, hitting an average of 60 FPS in most games even with detail set to maximum. Only Crysis 3 proved a real challenge, reporting an average...

The card in question is Gigabyte's GV-N960OC-4GD [?] and we bought it ourselves from Amazon for £160. And that price-point is significant, because it's pretty much the same cost as many of the other GTX 960s on the market - cards that only feature the...
