Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB

The GTX 1060 3GB is a good value option for those gaming at 1080p and right now at $210 it’s also very affordable. Meanwhile the 6GB model is currently retailing for $280 and it's only marginally faster. It seems for the vast majority of games the 3GB model is less than 10% slower, which should produce highly playable performance for folks targeting 1080p in today's latest titles.

  • Great availability from numerous board partners at launch
  • Cheaper than 6 GB version
  • Overclocked out of the box (most offerings)

Reviewers Didn't Like

Well I have to say that although I haven't had a chance to check out the multiplayer action yet, I was pleasantly surprised with what I found in the beta experience of Destiny 2. The game looks great, plays well and it's already significantly more...

With fantastic frame rates, amazingly low power consumption and a surprisingly low price, Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1060 3GB hits a sweet spot, in terms of both bang-per-buck and performance per watt. Even if it were the same price as the AMD RX 480 8GB,...

A great graphics card for 1440p and VR, but it isn’t the ultimate in value-for-money.

Nvidia's new 3GB version of the GeForce GTX 1060 goes toe-to-toe with the $200 Radeon RX 480—in theory. EVGA's $200 GTX 1060 3GB Gaming would be a no-brainer over AMD's Radeon RX 470 if it had a bit more memory.

The GeForce GTX 1060 is really just the logical conclusion to what NVIDIA has been doing with the rest of its Pascal series. The company effectively introduced new levels of performance at all-time-low price points, and it's safe to say that its new...

MSI's GTX 1060 Gaming X 3 GB might come with half the memory amount only, but still brings the big guns in form of the large dual-fan TwinFrozr cooler. Our review will test whether 3 GB is a viable alternative to 6 GB if you are trying to save some money.

Put it up against the GTX 1080, and the GeForce RTX 2080 crushes its Pascal predecessor. We never expected anything less. Despite its name, though, the RTX 2080 is priced in the same bracket that the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti presently occupies, and that...
