AMD Radeon RX 6400

The only potential use case for the RX 6400 would be in a low profile system where a conventional full size simply won't fit. Thing is, though it would have to be a modern small form factor PC that supports PCIe 4.0 to be worth it, this would be required to unlock the full performance from the 6400, but also the system itself would be worth enough to justify adding such an expensive component. $160 is very expensive for what the RX 6400 offers overall.

Intel Arc 3 A380 vs. AMD Radeon RX 6400: We have to admit the Intel Arc 3 A380 didn't perform as poorly as we had expected in this 51 game benchmark, but that's not to say the experience was good overall. There were a few titles where the experience was great and many where it was just decent, but there were many where the performance was horrible or stability was a problem, or even both.

AMD's Radeon RX 6400 low-profile graphics card delivers a bump in performance over older GPUs and integrated graphics—though not a big one—with no need for extra power.

The Radeon RX 6400 may not be the cutting edge, but it is a solid foundation for your gaming PC if you’re looking to stay current without breaking the bank.

The Radeon RX 6400 represents the lowest performance "modern" GPU we've seen, but cuts too many features and doesn't reduce pricing enough to truly qualify as the budget card it's supposed to be. The only real draw is if you want a half-height GPU or don't want a 6-pin power connector.

The AMD Radeon RX 6400 comes with the narrowest PCI-Express interface of all consumer graphics cards. It's just four lanes wide, a quarter of what we're used to on graphics cards, which typically have a x16 interface. It's certainly an interesting...

If you have a bit more money to spend, the RX 580 8 GB ($200) should be worth checking out—twice the VRAM, great operation on PCIe 3.0, but higher power draw, just like the RX 570. A unique selling point of the the RX 6400 is that it works without the additional power connector. Still, there are lots of alternatives to the RX 6400, and while none come with the sticker "latest and greatest tech," I'm not sure if that's really something you must have when shopping on a budget.
