Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 8GB

As for the new GeForce RTX 3050, we’re expecting that part to come in for at least $450, but with the RTX 3060 selling for a 112% premium over MSRP on average, anything is possible. As noted earlier, we strongly believe that the RTX 3050 needs to be priced at around $370 to be a great deal in the current market and become the go-to option for PC gamers.

MSI has a great card on its hand switch the GeForce RTX 3050 GAMING X -- the fastest RTX 3050 so far, with GPU temps sitting at just 60C.

Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3050 delivers great 1080p gaming performance with modern features, including capable ray tracing chops and DLSS. It has plenty of memory and doesn’t make any unusual technical compromises, unlike AMD’s rival Radeon RX 6500 XT, but that potentially makes it a target for GPU miners—which could mean bad things for price and availability.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 would make an excellent replacement for the GTX 1650. It provides incredible 1080p gaming performance, even with ray tracing – something the GTX 1650 couldn’t even do. However, its high price pits it against the RTX 2060, a fight the RTX 3050 just cannot win.

Nvidia's RTX 3050 delivers good performance for its theoretical $249 starting price. Unfortunately, that also means there's not a snowball's chance in hell that it won't sell for radically inflated prices. It lands between the previous-gen RTX 2060 and GTX 1660 Super, both of which currently sell for far more than Nvidia's asking price.

The Nvidia RTX 3050 is one of the cheapest graphics card available in Nvidia’s latest range, yet it still manages to hit a 1080p at 60fps performance for most games while also offering high-end features such as ray tracing and DLSS. But with a performance not too dissimilar to the 3-year old GTX 1660 Ti, those who like high frame rates will want to look elsewhere.

The GeForce RTX 3050 is a strong junior entry into Nvidia's peerless lineup of "Ampere"-powered RTX 30 Series GPUs, and this EVGA XC Black card is a corker for 1080p play at a near-budget price.

Today not much has improved in terms of performance, just pricing has gone way way up, but no amount of moaning or crying will change the situation. It'll be interesting to see what happens with stock levels, whether NVIDIA's mining-limiter on RTX 3050 will hold, or whether miners will snatch up all the inventory. GeForce RTX 3050 will be available from stores starting tomorrow at 6 AM PT.

If prices are kept in line, The Palit DUAL OC edition GeForce RTX 3050 is perhaps a good match for you if you need Full HD performance, with WQHD capability. The Gigabyte card remains reasonably silent and is cooled enough, as well it's a decent-looking product (but the design is overdue for a revamp though). With the games that support DLSS you'll reap the benefits of even more performance. So yeah, a decent card, and if prices remain in line, even recommended.
