Intel Arc A750

It's hard to entertain the idea of paying a premium for the Arc A770 or A750 over established Radeon GPUs. If the RTX 3060 was the lone competitor in the sub-$400 market, then the A770 or A750 might be worth a shot, but unfortunately for Intel, AMD has undercut Nvidia by a substantial margin, making GeForce GPUs largely irrelevant in the sub $400 market.

With its multipronged 2022 Arc launch, Intel has put on a full-court press to crack the graphics card market. The forwards are its budget Arc A380 ($139.99), and the more powerful, though still moderately priced, Arc A770 ($329 for the 8GB card; $349...

Given our performance results, the 8 GB card is the right choice and makes total sense in this price-sensitive segment. Intel chose a competitive price point that undercuts all the big enemies: RX 6600 XT and RX 6650 XT are $300, NVIDIA's RTX 3060 is $370, and the RTX 3060 Ti is even $450.

If you’re thinking of buying an A750 or A770, I would just recommend reading every review possible. Intel’s Arc cards are so new that there will be some performance limitations for certain games and early driver issues. You’ll want to make sure your favorite game runs well before you consider going Intel in these early days.

Most gamers will be better off opting for the more polished experience provided by Nvidia and AMD, but the Arc A750 and A770 provide compelling hope for a more competitive future—something the graphics card market desperately needs after two years of shortages and GPUs going for $1,600. Welcome to the new era.

If you're looking for solid deals, especially following years of ever-increasing GPU prices, the Arc A750 and A770 are tough to beat. After almost a decade of doubting Intel's graphics hardware, I can't help but feel like the gruff farmer in Babe: That'll do Intel, that'll do.
