The RTX 4070 Ti Super is faster than the original 4070 Ti, but it’s now in a confusing position between the $599 4070 Super and $999 4080 Super.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super is somewhat challenging to rate, given that it is only marginally better on average than the card it replaces. But it is better, and the RTX 4070 Ti was already a fantastic graphics card to begin with, so by default, the RTX 4070 Ti Super is going to score high marks. Still, with the RTX 4080 Super right around the corner, you might want to wait to see how that card lands in a week's time.

If you're shopping for a new graphics card in the £750-800 segment, the RTX 4070 Ti Super is well worth buying.

The RTX 4070 Ti Super improves Nvidia's offerings, landing right between the 4070 Ti and 4080. It replaces the 4070 Ti in the product stack, at the same still-high $799 price point. The additional memory helps in certain workloads, and it's a decent upgrade overall, especially for anyone still running an older GPU.

Bottom line, the new GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER isn’t just the first card in NVIDIA’s history to be both a Ti and a SUPER at the same time; it’s a solid performer with a significantly better price/performance ratio than its predecessor. We can’t argue with that. And once you factor in ray tracing performance, DLSS, and Frame Generation (if you’re into that sort of thing), at $799 this is a lot of GPU in the current market .

We reviewed the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, which offers more performance and VRAM than the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, replacing it at the same price point. This is a good value, and a value improvement considering you are getting more performance and VRAM at the same price. It faces fierce competition in this space, but offers a compelling list of features like DLSS, and RTX features as well as better Ray Tracing performance. It's built well, runs very cool and power efficient, providing value at this price segment.

The RTX 4070 Ti Super doesn't break the GPU market, but it delivers a welcome upgrade over the RTX 4070 Ti for the same money. In those terms, it is a success. But this MSI version, well, it's a tough recommendation given its vBIOS concerns, however temporary they might be.

he TUF Gaming RTX 4070 Ti SUPER specifically is looking especially appealing this time around given that there isn’t a Founders Edition for this GPU and its all-metal construction. Asus does have an overclocked model as well which will hit stores at $849.99 and a white overclocked TUF model for $879.99. They will also have a Pro Art card for that same $879.99 price point and then a Strix model as well which has a hefty $949.99 price point which is WAY too close to the announced MSRP of the RTX 4080 SUPER in my opinion.

Well suited to high-res gameplay, RTX 4070 Ti Super puts RX 7900 XT in a quandary.

Ultimately the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER represents additional value for gamers and creators. It arrives at the same price point as its predecessor, but effectively offers more of everything. If you’ve got the budget and are looking for a GPU its price category, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is the card to beat right now, and ASUS’ TUF model ticks many of the right boxes.

Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super, tested here in Zotac trim, is a serious step up from the original, but it can't match its closest AMD rival's price/performance ratio.
