AMD offers a valid alternative to its flagship GPU with the Radeon HD 7950, which is essentially a lower-specced and lower-priced version of the HD 7970. Considering the HD 7970's respectable performance, we expect a solid showing from the HD 7950.

Our hands are a little tied as far as making a firm conclusion goes, as we're minus a definite price for UK and US shores. Assuming the rough figure we have putting the Radeon HD 7950 3GB With Boost at between £20 and £40 more than a...

In April we took a look at AMD’s latest flagship video card, the Radeon HD 7970, and today we are following up with its little sibling the 7950.In many respects the two cards are identical. Both are 275mm long, and have an HDMI, DVI and two...

AMD is marketing a decent graphics card here, a product that is both rapid and with low energy consumption. Nevertheless, you're paying a high price for innovation here and it would no doubt be wise to wait for the competition to catch up and bring...

AMD’s Radeon HD 7970 may be the new single-GPU video-card performance leader, but at $100 less and nearly as fast, the HD 7950 is the smarter buy if you’re looking for both power and value. (Like its sibling, however, some of its...

AMD hurried the press into launching Radeon HD 7970 reviews just before Christmas 2011, but the company has been moving at a more leisurely pace for the release of the Radeon HD 7950.Fortunately for us, the second-rung 'Tahiti' card shares heck...

AMD's Radeon HD 7950 is finally released after what seemed like an eternity after the HD 7970 launch. The reference design of the card looks just like its older brother. Internally we see less shaders, reduced clock speeds, one power phase less and...

In the meantime, the focus shifts back to Nvidia and what it has planned for the price point the HD 7950 currently occupies. On that point, we have the feeling we'll be finding out sooner rather than later.

Radeon HD 7950 Boost - A little Bump 'n Grind Update In very simple wording, if your graphics card is allowed to use up-to 150 Watt the core frequency will be increased up-to a certain threshold until that 150 Watt margin has been reached, that...
